Advanced Skin Rejuvenation with Macroneedling

Cutting-edge treatments like macroneedling and radiofrequency microneedling allow a natural method of skin rejuvenation by utilizing our body’s regenerative properties. Macro-needling uses a physician-grade device called a dermaroller to create hundreds of incredibly tiny needles create controlled “micro-injuries” in the skin.

Similarly, technologies like SylfirmX combine radiofrequency to gently heat the skin with the microneedling to create micro-injuries. These kickstart your body into action by activating the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, important proteins in our skin that creates firmness and elasticity. This also enhances the efficacy of other treatments by creating channels in the skin, giving other topical treatments, growth factors and serums a greater ability to reach the deep layers of the skin. This powerful radiofrequency microneedling device delivers a refined acne scar treatment, as well as a natural method of reducing acne, fine lines and wrinkles, melasma, pigmentation, rosacea and other signs of sun damage.

Our macro- and micro-needling solutions are also great for reducing pore size and oily skin and have the added benefit of being safe and effective for all skin complexions and sensitive skin. It is traditionally recommended in combination with growth factors or potent HA serums to help treat scars, fine lines, stretch marks, skin laxity, and signs of photo-aging.

You can expect some swelling to occur, as well as some redness. The swelling should subside within 24-72 hours, and the post treatment redness can safely be covered using mineralized makeup 24-48 hours post procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can microneedling ruin your skin?

Medical needling has to cause bleeding to trigger the desired regeneration process in the deeper layers of the skin. This is not a side effect, but an effect which is necessary and which will be produced deliberately. The bleeding acts a bit like a messenger, giving the skin cells their signal to produce collagen and elastin. This makes the existing skin stronger while encouraging new growth.

  • How long does it take to see results from microneedling?

Macroneedling helps stimulate your own body to form new, healthy skin components (collagen and elastin) which in turn will aid in providing you with a youthful complexion. Results are not immediate but evolve over several weeks. As the results from the dermaroller come from your skin’s repair processes, you should start to see results as your skin heals. Over a few weeks, you will gradually see brighter, smoother, younger looking skin.

  • How much is a macroneedling treatment?

Pricing begins at $400 per treatment. Contact one of our skin care specialists at ICLS for more information.
